A thoughtful bathroom setup starts with tools you actually use. Keep the everyday essentials easy to reach, and give each one a place.
A brush that feels right
Choose soft bristles and a brush you can use comfortably. Manual and powered toothbrushes can both clean effectively. Replace the brush, or brush head, about every three to four months, or sooner if the bristles are worn.
Your everyday toothpaste
Fluoride toothpaste belongs with your brush for twice-daily cleaning. Keep the tube beside the other essentials so getting started is straightforward.
A tool for between your teeth
Add floss or another suitable interdental cleaner. If you are choosing a new tool, ask your dentist or hygienist which option and size fit your teeth. It is easier to build a routine around a tool you can handle comfortably.
A clean, practical place to keep it
After brushing, rinse the brush and store it upright so it can air dry. Leave space between brushes, and avoid routinely enclosing a damp toothbrush in a closed container.
A soft brush, fluoride toothpaste and a suitable between-teeth cleaner make a simple starting kit. A small tray can help keep the setup organised.
